Arsenal's 2022-23 pre-match shirt

Adidas and Arsenal today paid tribute to the club's Jamaican supporters by unveiling their pre-match kit for the new season.

The New Jersey is vibrant and stylish, featuring an exaggerated full-length geometric pattern in green, gold and black -- the colors of the Jamaican flag.There are many Jamaicans living in the local community and across the capital and the new shirt is designed to pay tribute to the Arsenal supporters who call North London and Jamaica home.

The launch brings football and fashion together, bringing supporters as far away as Jamaica together with Arsenal players in London.The jersey will also be featured at this weekend's Notting Hill Carnival, which returns this week after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic.

The shirt will also be worn by the Gunners in their Premier League match against Fulham on Saturday.

The launch follows a series of initiatives by Adidas and Arsenal to show their appreciation to the Gunners' fan base.In July, the club continued its Arsenal Supporting Supporters programme until the start of the new season, with £5 from every sale of home shirts for the 2022-23 season to support local community projects.

Arsenal midfielder Emile Smith ROM (Emile Smith Rowe) I have Jamaican origin, his comments on the New Jersey's way: "left the football fans are nothing, I am proud to see the adidas and my club continue to support our supporters from different backgrounds, like when we are home kit, introduced this year.It's a fantastic shirt and I can't wait to wear it."

Gunners star Ian Wright, who is also of Jamaican descent, said: "It's great to see Adidas working with Arsenal to honour their diverse and diverse fan base.Arsenal is for everyone and it's great to create initiatives and products that resonate so widely with the fan base.The fans will love it!"
